Dave 'Tic' Linsell is an Illustrator with a background in TV & Video

About Dave

Dave was born in 85, the year of The Goonies, Thunder Cats and Back to the Future. The first .com was registered on the technology front, Windows released Ver 1.0, and the NES game system hit the US. His influences are clear: He was raised on a steady diet of cartoons, comic books, 80s horror, action films, and video games. 

Tic's professional art career began producing illustrated posters for local bands, logos for small businesses, and designing for his father's tattoo Parlor. From there, it branched off into the fields of illustration, marketing, branding, murals, fine art, animation, Live Art, and filmmaking. 

Graduating in TV and Video Production from Solent University in 2009, went on to run graffiti workshops for young people and charities whilst working for local colleges as a media technician. He has worked at an award-winning marketing company and a worldwide digital television company. Dave also filmed and edited high-speed videos for car-crash safety in Thatcham and worked as a Moving Image Specialist at an Art University in Hampshire, UK.

Dave succeeded in his master's in illustration in 2022 at the Arts University Bournemouth AUB to pursue his career as an artist, as an illustrator for branding, comics, film and animation.
