About Dave

Tic was born on November 14, 1985, the year of The Goonies, ThunderCats and Back to the Future. On the technology front, the first .com was registered, Windows released Ver 1.0 and the NES game system hit the US. Tic's influences are clear: He was raised on a steady diet of cartoons, comic books, 80s horror, action films, and video games. 

Tic's professional art career began early at age 14, producing illustrated posters for local bands, logos for small businesses and then onto designing for his father's tattoo business. From there, Tic’s career has branched off into the fields of illustration, advertising, murals, fine art, animation, live art in nightclubs and film making. 

Graduating in TV and Video Production from Solent University in 2009, Tic went on to run graffiti workshops for young people and charities whilst working for local colleges as a media technician. He has worked at an award winning marketing company, a worldwide digital television company. Filmed and edited highspeed videos for crash safety NCAP and worked as a Moving Image Specialist at an Art’s University in Hampshire, UK. Where he produced workshops for BA & MA students, covering; film & sound equipment, studio and lighting workshops, motion graphics, film making, editing, sound design, animation and character design.

Dave was diagnosed with tourettes, motor and phonic tics, some 15 years ago, so dont be scared, he barks and grows but is well behaved....mostly.

Dave passed his masters in illustration in 2022 at Arts university Bournemouth. But you’ll still find him with a bag of paint, searching for walls for his street art productions and graffiti character creations.

Dave is taking commissions and avalible for projects for 2023 / 2024
